Euripides Dionysiadis - Composer

Euripides Dionysiadis is a composer whose musical idiom moves in between Jazz and Modern Classical. His goal is to create adventurous music of narrative nature which attempts to express his inner world. In his compositions, improvisation and detailed written parts coexist organically and on equal terms, enriched with strong polystylistic references.

He was born in Athens in 1989. His first encounter with music was through electric bass lessons with the composer and bass player Odysseas Konstantinopoulos whose holistic approach to learning music gave him the foundations and the fire to start his first attempts at music creation .

After completing his studies at the Chemistry Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 2016 he was accepted at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts-University of The Arts) in the Netherlands where he moved and completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in composition under the guidance of the composer Paul M. Van Brugge through which he came into contact with modern classical and jazz composition especially the Third Stream, which significantly contributed to his artistic identity.

His music has been performed live and recorded by important musicians and ensembles of the Greek and Dutch music scene such as David Lynch, Yiotis Kiourtsoglou, Nils van Haften, Laurens De Boer, Yoel Soto, Marieke Koster, Martijn Krijnen, Ensemble Intercolor, Studenten Harmonie Orkest Twente, AKOM Ensemble, Riccioti Ensemble etc.

In 2022  his first personal record wa released, entitled “Aegean Suite” consisting of original music for a large mixed ensemble of jazz and classical musicians, passing the boundaries of stylistic genres in his attempt to communicate a personal narrative.

Till now, he continues to be active professionally and artistically in Greece and the Netherlands.
From January 2024, Euripides Dionysiadis is represented worldwide by Musicentry.
