Vangelis Katsoulis celebrates 50 years of creative presence in the Greek and international music sce

On Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at 8:00 pm, composer Vangelis Katsoulis celebrates 50 years of creative presence in the Greek and international music scene!

Three outstanding musicians — Takis Farazis (piano), Petros Varthakouris (bass), and Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis (drums) — come together for a special tribute concert dedicated to the rich musical world of Vangelis Katsoulis, featuring both recent works and beloved earlier compositions.

The music of Vangelis Katsoulis has travelled across Europe, America, Australia and the Far East, released by leading American, British, German and Dutch labels, earning acclaim that has placed him among the most significant voices in contemporary music. Renowned international artists — including Paolo Fresu, Markus Stockhausen, Paul Wertico, Arild Andersen and more — have recorded and performed his works, recognizing the uniqueness of his musical language.

With over twenty personal albums, numerous collaborations, and rare appearances both in Greece and abroad, his discography stands as a testament to a lifelong dedication to artistic exploration.

His vast body of work includes more than 350 compositions, spanning symphonic and chamber music, opera, theatre, film, radio and television scores, dance productions and multimedia performances.

Vangelis Katsoulis has been honored with the Best Music Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, is a recipient of a special grant from the American Foundation for Performing Arts, and has been recognized at the International Composers’ Rostrum in Paris.

Throughout his remarkable career, he has journeyed from contemporary avant-garde and electronic music to minimalism and jazz, often blending these worlds into a singular, captivating artistic voice.
