Maria Farantouri with Christos Papageorgiou on the piano, in Concert at Herod's Atticus Odeon

At this year's Athens and Epidaurus Festival in July, the fabulous Greek singer Maria Farantouri and her ''dream team'' performed all-time classic songs of Greek and world cinema, under Akropolis moonlight, at the Herod's Atticus Odeon.

The famous composer and soloist Christos Papageorgiou joined her on the piano.

Maria Farantouri was also joined by the actor Yannis Stankoglou, by two young, promising singers, Thodoris Voutsikakis and Korina Legaki, and by the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra, conducted by Anastasios Symeonidis.
